pleased to meet you.

My name is Danielle Romero; I'm from the North but I lived in the South for 7 years. My biggest strength? Jumping in without analyzing. My biggest weakness? Jumping in without analyzing.

Taking (or making) crazy opportunities has given me a history all over the country, including the one time I convinced my husband to buy a historic farmhouse from 1788 on a ten acre farm in New Hampshire. Those experiences have given a greater texture to who I am, and by default, our brand, as I've worked to blend so many disparate aesthetics.

I started New York to Nashville in January 2013 after finding some incredible vintage fabric that still had a story to tell.

The process for beginning a new piece begins first and foremost with the fabric.

I have always loved history, especially American history. Every piece I craft is named for a famous (or infamous) character out of history or literature and the product write up reads more like a narrative. People are quite disconnected from true storytelling these days, and I hope that my work can weave our shared stories back into the day-to-day experience.
