My tried and true method is the book “Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons”. I used it with my oldest child, I’m currently in- progress with my middle child and successfully used it with many other kids who were NOT my child. I also recommend it for children who are reading mostly from memorized words but can’t decode well.

I created some hands-on sight word activities —they’re easy to individualize and multiple children can sit down and do the same activity at different levels. Here are a few:
Create a list of words or word families to focus on (-AT words, spelling list, whatever)
1/ Use Scrabble tiles to spell the words—child can put words on a word rug or on paper
2/ Spell the words into playdoh or with ink on paper with these ABC stamps
3/ Fill a small tray with salt or sand and have the child use their finger to write the words
