Don't Put Your Brand on a Paperweight

I don't know what it is about most companies, but they really love putting their name on a paperweight. Or an envelope opener.  They always put it on a pen, and sometimes a frisbee.

There's a better way to market your brand-- and it's by putting your company name on something beyond office supplies or junk toys. Those mass-produced, off-shored pieces of plastic tell your audience that you value  bulk pricing over quality  and generic neon green junk over time-invested tailoring to your brand.  Back away from the lanyards and hear us out.

New York to Nashville is proud to launch our brand collaboration project. We now offer brands the opportunity to have an exclusive limited-run of pocket squares. How will you use your branded, limited run?

  •  generate buzz about your company or a website relaunch
  • sell in your store as custom items
  • give as employee gifts
  •   use in giveaways

Old Glory + A History Lesson

We love every fabric that we pick up, however, we recently discovered a really storied fabric...that we think actually found us. We were up near a place called Gallatin, TN, which is about 30 miles from Nashville.  When Nashvillians hear "Gallatin", they often think of cows + farms.  Gallatin  also boasts both Revolutionary + Civil War history---which is why we're always excited to head up to Gallatin and explore the local antique + curiousity shops. It was at one of these shops where we found the ruggedly handsome yard of antiqued starred fabric that we affectionately named "Old Glory".

That's when we realized we did not know much the moniker "Old Glory" and decided to do some research. Little did we know---there was a thread of Tennessee history throughout the entire story.

William Driver, an early 19th century American sea captain, gave the American flag the nickname "Old Glory".  Driver moved to our hometown of Nashville, TN when he retired from the sea, just before he Civil War broke out.  In an attempt to protect the flag from the rebel government, he hid Old Glory by sewing it inside of a comforter to protect it.  Thankfully, we no longer need to hide our pride in our flag, and this pocket square is the perfect patriotic touch to your back pocket or jean jacket.

This is an extremely limited run item and only 1 square and a few pairs of cufflinks/earrings are currently available.
